Lizzy Daymont

Bassist Lizzy Daymont was born and raised in Hinsdale, IL. Beginning piano studies at age 6, she went on to play alto sax in grade school before picking up the guitar at age 9. After playing guitar in her first band, she then moved to the bass where she has concentrated the most effort ever since. She studied bass performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston, performed in several bands, then moved to Seattle. There Lizzy has spent over a decade playing the Pacific Northwest club, festival and casino circuit with a variety of original and cover bands. Performance highlights include shows at Seattle's Bumbershoot, Hempfest and Bite of Seattle festivals, Austin, TX South By Southwest showcases, and numerous radio and TV appearances. Artists for which she has opened include Brandi Carlile, Spock's Beard, The Flower Kings, and Metal Church. Lizzy is comfortable in almost any musical setting and plays a variety of instruments including fretless bass, electric or acoustic guitar and keyboards. She is a member of ASCAP and The Recording Academy's Pacific NW Branch. She and her husband, drummer Pete Johnston, also run their own studio in Seattle and can provide remote recording for anyone, anywhere in the world. Currently, Lizzy can most often be seen in the Pacific Northwest performing with the Top-40 cover band Sway, classic rock cover band Ultimate Sellout Band, and Pretty Enemy. When she's not busy with all things music, Lizzy's other passion is motorcycles, a Triumph Bonneville being her steed of choice.
